Two people were killed and dozens more injured in some of the most violent inter-militia clashes in the capital since the 2011 revolution.
Quoting security sources, state news agency LANA reported that the clashes, which took place in the evening of 7 November between armed groups in eastern districts of Tripoli, killed two people and injured a further 29.
News reports suggested that the fighting was between rival militias, apparently after a senior figure from one group was killed.
The fighting involved anti-aircraft guns, RPGs and light weapons, with the Radisson Mahari Hotel amongst the buildings to be damaged.
